Indigestion
Indigestion, stomach pain or left-side upper abdominal pain, gastritis, ulcers might be alleviated by the pressure point at your left thumb web. If you find tenderness there, then massage for two minutes, this should help.
Malnutrition or indigestion in children
Indigestion is a common ailment in children today and is caused by direct errors. It a condition of the stomach in which digestive juices are incorrectly secreted, resulting in discomfort. Massage the soft flesh between the thumb and point finger (large intestine 4) and press two fingers width away from the navel on both sides of the stomach (stomach 25).
Diarrhea
The points fighting against indigestion and nausea would help diarrhea in children as well as adults. Acupressure to p6 and st36 acupressure points have been reported to be helpful for chemo-induced nausea.8,9 another study which included slow stroke back massage before and after chemo showed decreased duration, frequency and intensity of nausea and vomiting and decreased volume of diarrhea10
Nausea/vomiting
Acupressure is a safe and effective way to prevent and ease the nausea associated with morning sickness. Mild nausea may be relieved by pressing down hard, with a thumb or finger, on the groove between the two large tendons that run from the base of the palm up to the elbow. Acupressure helps with issues of digestive distress such as nausea and vomiting. This is because it also may help relieve tension built up in the stomach region, and provides just one step towards overall balancing.
