Aromatherapy and stress

Some stress can be productive as it can give you the drive and energy to achieve goals, but too much stress is always detrimental. A healthy attitude to stress is to recognize it and try to reduce its effect on your health and well being. This is where one can turn to gentle healing of stress with aromatherapy . Since the emotional symptoms lead to the physical ones, it is always best to treat them first. Once the emotional symptoms are eradicated, the physical symptoms do not develop.

To save your skin from sunburn, it is best to prevent yourself from the sun. But if unfortunately, spur skin gets a sun burn, apply neat lavender oil to soothe the area and prevent infection. Repeat the application every few minutes until the pain lessens.

HANGOVERThe morning-after feeling is very disgusting and everyone wants to avoid it. The prime cause of a hangover (headache, upset stomach, lethargy, nausea) is dehydration, so drink plenty of water or fruit juice, if your stomach can stand it, after waking up in the morning and as the last thing the night before, if possible.

You can also try the following aromatherapy treatment:
First make a cold compress to which you add one drop of juniper oil and one drop of fennel oil. Apply it on your forehead and temples. Next, blend three drops of rose oil in 1 fl oz (25 ml) of carrier oil and massage it into the liver area- the lower right side of the ribs and just below them.

Rose oil helps to detoxify the liver. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day is important as well as it will flush the toxins out of your system more effectively.
