Magnetic Therapy: an alternative Medicine
 Magnetic healing is a science as well as art demanding knowledge of human organism and the skill to cure through proper application of magnets. This alternative branch of medicine, magnetic therapy, is also known as Magnet therapy, Bio magnet therapy, or Magnotherapy, which is proving to be far reaching in terms of possibilities in physical as well as mental disorder treatment through exposure to magnetic fields.
Magnets designed specially for human applications have the power to interact with the energy system of the body, to create a different field for efficient cellular and hence organic activities. Be it localised or generalized application of magnets, the effects are always on the basic functioning of cells, and hence are concluded to be effective.
There are two theories that are used to explain magnetic therapy.
One magnetic therapy theory maintains that magnets affect electrical current in cells. When magnets are applied to a painful area of the body, the nerves in that area are stimulated, thus releasing the body`s natural painkillers. This is accountable for the application of magnets for pain relief.
According to the other, but equally relevant magnetic therapy theory, when magnets are applied to a painful area of the body, all the cells in that area react to increase blood circulation, ion exchange, and oxygen flow to the area. Magnetic fields attract and repel charged particles in the bloodstream, increasing blood flow and producing heat. Increased oxygen in the tissues and blood stream is thought to make a considerable difference in the speed of healing.
This branch, although widely popular and widespread in the modern world, is under constant scrutiny, observations, experimentation, ardent followership and skepticism.
Magnet therapy has ventured in places of physical disorders like cancer treatment, and mental disorders like depression, where still much breakthrough research is going on.
All sciences need to be mastered to harness them for the benefit of mankind; and the science of magnetic healing is no exception to the rule. Although sheer skepticism and faith in healing are going hand in hand, millions of people are experimenting the science in their personal life through magnotherapists and widely available commercial magnetic products. And that`s no less an impact or achievement.
Magnetic therapy is a safe, non-invasive method of applying magnetic fields to the body for therapeutic purposes. It accelerates the natural healing process, provides natural pain relief, arthritis pain relief and improves sleep without any adverse side effects. It has risen hopes where even advanced drug therapies have failed.
Although Magnetic therapy is not a therapy in itself, it should be considered as harmless and helpful aid in healing through other means. Results vary from person to person, quality of Magnets used, Duration of use and the mode of application. Naturally, magnet therapy not effective if not followed properly, is generating whole range of doubts and questions. Still, due to the amazing pain relieving and calming effect it provides, its popularity is increasing by humungous proportions.
This therapy is not only applicable to human, but for pets and animals as well. As a matter of fact, many rodeo horses are going through magnetic effects for their peak performance. Such is the reach of Magnetic therapy in today`s times.
The summary of Magnotherapy being that when a magnet is placed in our hands, it ceases to be a piece of metal or ceramics but an omnipotent entity endowed with powers that works on all animate and inanimate matter and can work wonders when used with proper knowledge and understanding.
