 Ever since the ancient wisdom of the world, stones and crystals have been used for curative treatments, protective spells and initiation ceremonies of all kinds. The beauty and the radiant light they convey have again become popular at the beginning of the New Age when alternative medicines are taking a new turn. The vibrations of the Aquarian Age are calling out for revisiting our attunement with the use of crystals. Precious stones can also be of valuable help to us in the application of Reiki. Reiki energy merged with healing benefits of Crystals can indeed open new pathways for more fine-tuned healing. Since healers believe that crystals are like the `tuning fork`, to which the human field resonates. Different crystals have different healing qualities and the same are specially effective in psychosomatic illnesses like headaches, migraines, irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion and asthma.
Reiki helps to initiate a number of deep inner processes. Intense fears and hidden aspects of the personality requiring healing touch and the betterment of mental and spiritual growth arise to consciousness while releasing old blockages to make way for new energy. This results in a difficult inner situation. Although the old ways begin to appear meaningless, new ways take time to set in. Also, during this changeover, some of the blockages are very stubborn and fear of the repressed feelings urging to emerge into consciousness can lead to painful cramping or nightmares. In applications of Reiki Treatment, three crystals (Amethyst, Rock crystal and Rose quartz) have proven to be especially effective. Rock crystal illustrates the true quality of light, rose quartz awakens in us the resonance of its vibration of love energy and helps us accept the truth of light, while energetically the amethyst activates the Third Eye and helps point out one`s individual path toward realization. While the inherent traits of each are widely different, they work well together and can effectively support Reiki work. The individual properties with their relevant chakras are summarized as below:

Amethyst
Corresponds to: Sixth Chakra.
Quality evoked: Realizing one`s own true Self in a universal context.
Symptom: Hyperactivity of all kinds; inflammation; high blood pressure; glandular hyperactivity; hysteria.
Rose Quartz
Corresponds to: Fourth Chakra.
Quality evoked: Acceptance
Symptom: Resistance of all kinds; cancer, cyst, tension, schizoid symptoms.
