This particular exercise develops a lot of synergistic spiritual energy by joining the minor charkas in the hands and feet, as the energy circuit gets completed. This particular exercise yields following benefits:
Enhancement of personal growth.
Developing the capacity of loving acceptance
Practising a meditative mental attitude for day-to-day life developing self-perception.
Gradual, harmonious release of blockages.
Release of stress.
This powerful exercise can further be intensified by simultaneously chanting the mantra "OM." This Powerful word of Sanskrit origin means "thus it is!" By intoning OM, the person creates strong vibration in the body. This makes the body the sounding board of its energy. The vibrations of "O" are felt in the direction of the Third Eye. The combination of two sounds of OM enables to feel the poles of the "Self". The chanting awakens the consciousness of your connection to heaven and earth, the forces of yin and yang. The Procedure for this form of exercise is as follows:
Lie down on the back.
Draw up the legs and let the knees drop to both sides.
Press the soles of your feet together so that they touch as completely as possible.
Now join the palms in a gesture of prayer in front of the heart region.
(One may also do this meditation exercise leaning against a wall or an armchair in a sitting position.) While doing the exercise the person should breathe from the stomach. At initial stage, this exercise should be done for three minutes. Once upon getting used to it, increase the duration in small steps. Chanting of "Om" alongside creates the state of oneness with the universe.The Reiki energy thus channeled can now be set in motion via the contact of the hand charkas with the reflex points to all areas that are energetically under-supplied. It starts to flow with a constantly enhanced degree through the crown chakra into the body. From there, Reiki is drawn down toward the solar plexus and then directed to the hand chakras via the heart center.
The usefulness of this technique being that it spreads via the meridian System and the reflex zones to all areas of the body that are weak energetically. Thus all the strategic points receive the required life energy. In addition to the following advantage, Reiki also flows directly through the arms into the body. In order to accomplish this, Reiki energy has to create a path through all the blockages. Or else it will not be able to really flow through. Upon the regular pursuit of this meditation exercise, one will feel the energy moving up into the arms with ever-increasing intensity. This current can be detected by a pleasant, tingling and flowing sensation wherever it reaches.
As a result, the person`s attention gets increasingly focused on the body and the true Self. Along with this process, Reiki releases blockages, filling them with love and warmth and giving a feeling of acceptance and completeness.The physical awareness thus created helps one to accept "self" to a greater degree. The person not only can identify with himself, but also direct the attention, his own energy and Reiki energy into these two poles within. This flow of a person`s life energy extends the limits of self-perception. It enables to win over limits that he / she may not previously have allowed himself to cross. The possibilities for self-expression expand and person opens up to more energy and greater zest for life.
