Kundalini is the serpent energy that lies dormant in human body that is otherwise incapable of awakening and handling the surge of supreme energetic force. The road to the awakening of Kundalini force consists of preparing the body to handle and deserve it. Cleansing of chakras is an inevitable part, as Kundalini arises from the root chakra, and going through the pathway leaves the body through crown chakra. This is where reiki comes in.
 The Kundalini energy channel enters from the Root chakra, and travels to the Crown chakra on the top of the head. An open Kundalini means that over a period of time, a complete cleansing of the chakras, the body parts and the energy channels is obtained. The concept of Kundalini Reiki was introduced by Mr. Ole Gabrielsen, who as a master of meditation worked alongside Master Kuthumi to form this powerful technique. Their combined efforts turned the goal of Kundalini Activation leading to expanding states of Universal Consciousness, Peace, Light and Love, not as a future promise but one of immediate Possibility.
Kundalini Reiki is not only a powerful tool for energetic healing: this combination of Kundalini and Reiki energy also works in synergy to promote the spiritual healing and spiritual evolution towards enlightenment. Reiki is used to balance, cleanse and energize the chakra to make way for the all powerful serpent energy. Other uses of Kundalini Reiki such as healing karmic bonds, situations, personal qualities and character traits is also utilized.
The prerequisite for people interested in Kundalini Reiki must be a Usui Reiki, or Seichim master. The entire technique is divided in three levels: Kundalini 1, 2 and 3. The initial most stage is Kundalini Reiki 1.
Kundalini Reiki 1:
The first step is that of attunement. The attunement opens the healing channels to allow channeling of Reiki energy. This also prepares for Kundalini awakening in the next step. The Crown, Heart and hand chakras are opened, balanced and hence strengthened. The student in this stage learns methods of healing treatment and to heal remotely from a distance.
 Kundalini Reiki 2:
By this stage, the Reiki channels are strengthened. The Kundalini awakening is called for. Here the main energy channel opens gently and surely, alighting the Kundalini fire. This fire reaches the minimum Solar Plexus chakra, preparing for the full Kundalini rising in Kundalini Reiki 3. The person also masters a specific meditation technique in this stage. When this meditation is performed, the power of the flame in the Kundalini fire/energy is increased for a short time. In this way, all the chakras/energy systems are enlightened and a thorough cleansing takes place.
Kundalini Reiki 3:
The previous attunements being strengthened and the Throat, Solar Plexus, Hara and Root Chakras being opened, Kundalini fire is ready to go all the way. The strengthened Kundalini reaches up and out of the Crown chakra with full rise. Various techniques to boost Kundalini are also mastered. The person with knowledge of all the three levels becomes "The Kundalini Reiki Master."
