Other Methods for tracing Reiki disturbances
Sensing Chakras:
Energy states can be perceived by feeling activity of chakras through hands. The patient can stand erect or sit on a stool. Feelings or sensations should be observed while holding one hand at the front and one hand at the back of the body with the palm turned toward the body on the level of a chakra. Separate notes on every chakra for the front and the back respectively should be maintained. Evaluation should be done accordingly. Sometimes it is also worthwhile to include certain minor chakras in this check-up.

Note : There may be a case of disagreement of perceptions between that of the client and the healer. In such case its advisable to not to relate to client about the blockages and their deeper meaning, as these may further increase the patient`s anxieties. If the healer is trained in counseling he / she will be able to use the knowledge to the benefit of the patient.

Pendulum:
Another possibility of locating blockages is through pendulum. There are respective pendulum positions for the chakras, the most important organs, and various measures which may accompany a Reiki session, and which will facilitate healing work for both, the healer and the client. Learning, Practising and gathering experience before working with the deduction is advisable. The pendulum is certainly a very useful instrument, but also one that is easily misunderstood. Reference to the recommended books on this subject is mandatory. The following points should be looked upon before any deductions:
  • The cause of the health disorder.
  • There can be more than one cause, so it needs to be clarified.
  • The organs, chakras, meridians or a part of the body Reiki energy that needs to be focused. There can be additional areas requiring special attention.

  • The organs, chakras, meridians or parts of the body that do not need to be supplied with Reiki energy at present.

  • Preparatory measures to be taken.

  • Aftercare measures.
  • The presence of patient is not required while working on these questions. A photo, a specimen of his handwriting or a good personal impression will do. After every Reiki session one can also go through these questions to assess whether some basic changes have occurred which would necessitate different measures.

  • The practitioner may also use the pendulum directly over the body, even without the availability of data for conclusion. The healer should be well familiar with the manner in which your pendulum indicates "yes", "no" and "don`t know" before assessing the individual areas.

  • The person may use the pendulum as a guide to the problem area of the body, which has the greatest need for Reiki (specific treatment) at that particular moment.

  • The client lies down in front of the healer. The healer with pendulum asks the following (either verbally or mentally): "On which area of the body will Reiki have the greatest effect now?" Allow the pendulum to guide through the body. It will indicate the direction and stop above the respective area or make an "affirmative pattern". Clarify pendulum response patterns beforehand.

  • While the mental work the person should check each chakra, organ or meridian. Afterwards he should direct Reiki to those areas, which the pendulum affirmed.

  • Pendulum dowsing is only important if the Reiki work with a certain client is likely to meet with difficulties or if one wants to find the areas which most need to receive Reiki energy. The methods are all well tested in practice and have proved to be very effective.

  • Oracle:
The person can also draw on one of the many traditional oracle systems to gain further insight into the significance and course of prolonged Reiki treatment. The Tarot (fortune-telling cards based on the cabalistic teachings), runes (an ancient Germanic symbolic system for representing basic universal energy patterns) or the I Ching (an ancient, over 4000-year-old Chinese oracle system exhibiting almost mathematical precision) may provide invaluable assistance.

One should be well versed with any of these systems before addressing any serious questions, as errors of judgment could have far-reaching consequences. All these methods are to assist for judgment in case of difficult cases. Although the ultimate outcome is never calculated or fixed, yet one has to be most competent while treating with Reiki.
