Walter Lubeck is known to establish rainbow Reiki in the late 1980s and early `90s. Basically it followed the tradi-tional Reiki of the Western variety as transmitted by Hawayo Takata along with the Traditional Japanese methods integrated into it.
The traditional initiation rituals, the four symbols, their Mantras and the fundamental techniques of Reiki energy work, all as the roots from Usui system of Natural Reiki, form the basis of Rainbow Reiki. The distinguishing factors as different developments such as the essences technique, the cooperation with the Inner Child, the Higher Self and the angels, Karma Clearing and systematic chakra work came about in the course of the years. New techniques were being evolved where the traditional reiki has not been so satisfactorily effective. Rainbow Reiki naturally also takes into account a holistic approach to diet, spiritual body therapies and Feng Shui. The multidimensional approach to balance all areas of life is the concept integrated in Rainbow reiki to achieve its higher degrees of effectiveness.
Meditation has a central place in Rainbow Reiki, which has been an important teaching from Mikao Usui`s school itself. Meditation techniques in Rainbow reiki are meant to increase our level of consciousness, connection with the symbols and healing energy. Students of Rainbow Reiki simultaneously study- traditional Reiki and newly developed spiritual energy work. These additional techniques, initiations, symbols and Mantras have been created as a result of counseling and seminar practice as well as through spiritual research.
The basic seminars for the 1st and 2nd Degree of the training system of Rainbow Reiki includes a series of additional seminars such as `Work with Power-Places and the Subtle worlds`, `Essences and Elixirs`, `Rainbow Reiki Professional Practitioner`, `Dainichi Nyorai Ki-Do` and three Master Degrees. Rainbow Reiki is taught throughout the world and hundreds of thou-sands of Reiki enthusiasts have been applying it for many years now.
Rainbow Reiki is a system of complex energy work that is combination of old and new methods. Rainbow Reiki expands the Usui Reiki system through highly developed techniques of energy work and provides possibilities of working directly with subtle beings. It is a constant learning process through experimentation and practice, so that throughout our lives we evolve as more refined beings.
