 Reiki with gemstones combine two natural, healing powers for a potent mutual effect. Reiki as the universal life energy brings the physical and emotional functions back into their original harmony. While gemstones concentrate light-filled powers and color vibrations into the chakras, whose unrestricted functioning is greatly important for vitality and well-being. In this way, the powers of self-healing are activated in a natural manner. While gemstones or healing stones in themselves are capable of affecting a person`s aura and chakra balance, they are more effective when empowered with reiki symbols and energy.
 These stones can be used to balance, clear and heal the Chakras, by placing the corresponding stone on each Chakras, or by placing on the Chakra(s) that needs the healing, clearing and balancing. Each gemstone is carved with the appropriate petals and symbol for ultimate Chakra harmony. Following are the suitable stones along with their particular effects for respective chakra:
Sahasrara or Crown chakra in Amethyst.
Ajna or Third-eye chakra in Lapis Lazuli.
Vishuddha or Throat chakra in Blue Calcite.
Anahata or Heart chakra in Aventurine.
Manipura or Solar Plexus chakra in Golden Calcite.
Svadhisthana or Sacral chakra in Red Jasper.

Various stones are used for various objectives. Few common ones are:
Jade is a stone of the heart. It affects all the issues related to heart chakra, our emotions and relationships.
Amethyst brings intuition. It also offers protection from negative energies in one`s environment. It enhances one`s psychic abilities and aids in healing.
 Rose quartz is a stone that solves all the blockages in our feelings. It creates unconditional love, gentleness, forgiveness, and tolerance.
Lapis Lazuli assists in the opening of the third eye and the attainment of wisdom. It also enhances intuition.
Aventurine heals emotional pain, imbalances and anxieties by dissolving blocks in the heart. It provides for the balancing of male/female yin/yang energies.
Golden Orange Calcite is a good stone for soothing and grounding. It is said to aid in tasks requiring organized thinking and planning, and to help one manifest one`s dreams.
 Hematite can assist in purification of the energies of our physical and energetic circulatory systems. It is the most widely used stone for grounding.
Labradorite creates transformation by clearing, balancing and protecting the aura. It helps provide clarity and insight into one`s destiny.
Red Jasper is a premier stone for activation of the 2nd chakra. It is also known to enhance the sexual energies, drive as well as one`s creative abilities.
In context of Reiki healing, following stones are employed for specific area or healing:
 For Pelvic area: black tourmaline, hematite, smoky quartz, tiger`s eye, obsidian, onyx, ruby, carnelian, garnet, bloodstone. These are all resonating with colors black, brown, red, gray.
For Abdominal area: citrine, tiger`s eye, amber, rutilated quartz are preferable. They resonate with Golden color.
For Solar plexus: Peridot, malachite, moonstone, rhodochrosite with colors chartreuse or coral are preferred.
For Heart area, rose quartz, pink tourmaline, watermelon tourmaline, rhodonite, aventurine, green tourmaline as stones resonating with green or pink are suitable.
For Throat area: amazonite, aquamarine, blue lace agate, chrysocolla, turquoise, fluorite (any color) with blue-green and light blue colors are preferred.
For Forehead: amethyst, sugilite, moss agate, kyanite, moldavite resonating with colors purple and dark blue are suitable.
All these stones are engraved with reiki symbols such as Power symbol, Mental healing symbols, and then they are energized through Reiki. Such combined impact when mingled directly with the aura in form of Reiki Jewellery can create desirable effect.
