Reiki whole body treatment is the step by step energizing and balancing of the entire body. The steps are not determined randomly, but they have a practical sequence of positions. Different practitioners use different set of sequence. But mostly the sequence is adopted, modified and evolved with the experience while Practising. Amongst the various set of options available, one of the sequence process with the possibility of one`s own development is shown over here.
It is important to initially understand why a specific sequence of positions is beneficial. Eventually, the experienced is gained and inner knowledge is developed, the details will become less important. The following is a description of complete sequence. One can use it as whole or in parts according to the needs.

The healing effect of Reiki depends upon the healer, the patient, treatment and disease. Still, it can be very roughly "calculated" as follows: Period of treatment x frequency of treatments x Reiki capacity of the treating Reiki channel x subconscious readiness to grow of the Person treated x divine will. Without the Universal Spirit nothing will work at all! However, the Universal Spirit rarely has any objection to healIng. Most obstacles to healing are of human origin.
Each of the hand positions in whole body treatment have a specific significance. The purpose will be served, if your hands are simply placed on the indicated parts of the body. Hence, it is not a necessity to copy the hand positions exactly. Moreover, it does not matter whether your right or left hand covers a position, because Reiki is non-polar energy. Reiki is powerful enough to penetrate clothing, plaster casts or blankets. However, some people like to have direct body contact and in such cases it is advisable to eliminate superfluous "obstacles". If there are open wounds, burns, boils or similar symptoms, you should not lay your hands directly on the body. Just place them about four inches above the corresponding reflex zones or acupuncture points.
Reiki observation states that: the more distant the reflex zones treated are from the target area, the greater and more fluid effects Reiki will have. Various Reiki positions and specific the organs in the areas of the body the individual positions act are described here. The most important indications are provided with additional information wherever necessary.
