 The highest stage of evolution in the realm of minerals is presented by rock crystals. No crystals are exactly alike, but they often grow in families with a common base or grouping.
Even the basic structure of rock crystals conveys a deep meaning. The six sides of a crystal are related to the six chakras in humans. Its tip corresponds to the center of transformation or the seventh chakra (crown center). It is often cloudy at base and becomes clear toward the top. The phenomenon is similar to human beings. The crystal grows from out of the gross world towards the subtle world and becomes more and more clear and luminous in the process. Moreover, the crystal`s ability to be transparent and receptive to all vibrations can help humans let go of the blocks which otherwise prevent them from being equally receptive.
Although the options vary from practitioner to practitioner, there can be three different forms of these "light bringers", each of them serving a very specific purpose.
A small grouping with two large and one small crystal (diameter at the base about three centimeters, height about six centimeters)
A single crystal about ten centimeters long.
Two egg-shaped polished crystals about three and a half centimeters in diameter.
The sizes are approximate. The practitioner may choose suitable stones that he intuitively feels attracted to. Also, the purpose should not be forgotten. In the course of regular treatment with Reiki energy, certain aspects of the self will rise to consciousness, which the client may find difficult to accept. At the same time he / she develops more sensitivity, while becoming more open to new experiences.
The client should also learn how to protect himself when too many or upsetting new experiences overcome him. These learning processes are reflected intuitively in form of dreams. It also shows up in the relationship to the surroundings. With the use of Rock crystal one can decline the possibility of not being overwhelmed by the many changes and the new level of energy that accompany them. In more general words, rock crystal helps ease the way through stormy times.
A simple placement of small grouping at the head of the bed can have a miraculous effect in the case of disturbing dreams. Just remember to clean it every two to three days. Another common problem literally everyone have to face at home or work is that of often coming across people who have negative or critical attitude that is bound to make a person cress and insecure. These people drain optimism or energy from life. In such case, carrying or wearing the crystal somewhere so that it is always with you, will literally bring light into the daily routine. This work is strenuous for crystals so one needs to clean them regularly. Treating them with Reiki will not only enhance their powers but also preserves their good qualities for long.
Feeling overwhelmed by some of the new and challenging situations in life can often seem to get beyond the mental or psychological capacity producing a lot of stress. By doing reiki meditation especially using crystals will help you release anxieties and blocks.
Reiki Meditation with Rock Crystals
Technique:
Lie on your back.
Draw up your legs and allow your knees to fall apart.
Place the soles of your feet against one other as completely as possible.
Place your hands together, as in a gesture of prayer in front of the heart region, while holding in between them a reasonably sized and polished rock crystal.
The person can also do this meditation in a seated position, leaning against a wall or a chair. It is very important to focus the attention on the hands during this exercise.
Feel the energy spread and notice the reactions in the body. One can also combine this technique with the powerful mantra OM.
The energy of the crystal is received through the minor chakras in the palms of the hands. It enters the entire body via the reflex zones. In case urgent requirement of light is required, the light bringer will feel very hot after a while. It is quite a normal reaction to the large amount of energy being released. Along with receiving the effects of the crystal, Reiki energy also gets channeled as in whole body treatment, via the reflex zones and acupuncture points on the hands. The cleansing, blockage-releasing effect of the rock crystal helps Reiki to flow more easily.
Another variation:
Technique:
Take the same position as above, placing your arms, bent at an angle of about 45 degrees, on the floor.
The palms should face upwards.
Place a polished, round rock crystal onto the palms of your hands.
Feel the crystal into your hands. Become aware of the energy moving through the body. This Variation is very good for preparation for whole body treatment and is also very effective as meditation. Instead of lying on the back, any person can also do this exercise in a seated position, leaning against a wall or a chair.
These are very intense exercises and remove major blockages. That is why the crystals used in them need to be set-aside for a few days and cleansed thoroughly. Locally confined blocks (i.e. tense shoulders or a feeling of fear in the solar plexus) can be dissolved by the person (alone or in partnership) by using a long crystal. To accomplish this, move the crystal above the affected area in a clockwise circle, spiraling upwards and away. This procedure can be repeated several times as required.
Sometimes it is advisable to occasionally blow strongly over the blocked zone in order to remove the energy that has been released from the body into the inner aura. One can proceed with normal Reiki treatment once the blockage has been dissolved or significantly decreased. Afterward the feet should be treated for at least five minutes and the aura smoothed out.
This method has also proved successful in the case of cramps, which can sometimes occur during specific Reiki treatment. Care should be taken to merge specific treatment with that of whole body treatment. Crystal treatment is highly recommended.
