 This crystal from the quartz family is warm with pink vibration corresponding to the loving quality of the heart chakra. The pink light of rose quartz gently reminds the energy bound up in blockages of the love, thus raising it to the surface of consciousness. Therefore, all deep healing is achieved through the energy of this center. Both rose quartz and rock crystals may be used for the deep release of blockages and for healing physical and emotional problems. Rose quartz is able to heal experiences of separation and resulting traumas as it often helps them appear in another, more loving context. While rock crystals help to illuminate the breakthrough into "oneness" (self not separated from love) in a process of growing awareness with the vibrations, rose quartz helps you develop the ability to accept the rediscovered parts in a loving manner and integrate them into personality. This experience can be compared with the return of the prodigal son.
Rose quartz works well with people with self imposed negative or attitude of helplessness. They cannot merge their feelings or identification with others. These sentiments illustrate that the people probably already accept some hidden parts of their personality, but cannot release them through loving acceptance, and are therefore unable to harmoniously integrate them into the whole. Other cases may also benefit from the vibrations of rose quartz. Dogmatic people, people who reject healthy sexuality, or health and aggression. This also includes those who reject their bodies and certain desires, and also people who condemn other people just because they have ideas different to their own.
For such people, before or during whole body treatment placement of a rose quartz on the heart chakra or on chakras representing the special qualities that the client unconsciously rejects, will certainly help him to accept the respective energy now being released. If there arise feelings of anxiety in a client during Reiki session, place a rose quartz into one or both hands of his. This will help him to come to terms with and accept his emotions rather than being guilty or upset about them. Moreover, in case Second Degree Reiki mental treatment cannot be applied for some reason after intense specific Reiki work (for example, on the chakras), lay one or several rose quartz crystals onto your client.
Using rose quartz instead of rock crystals during the Reiki meditation will support the formation of attitude in accepting both self and others with all rough edges, faults and weaknesses. This is far better than eating oneself in helpless anger about the "imperfections of the world". Instead of intoning the mantra OM audibly or silently, one may also work with affirmations such as "I accept myself as I am!". If this evokes too powerful reactions, one can go to a friend or psychotherapists to clarify the doubts. Once the person has learned to love himself, this meditation gives a wonderful opportunity to bathe in the pink vibrations of love and simply feel good.
