Seichem of traditional way incorporates fire energy with Reiki`s grounding (earthy) qualities. As a matter of fact this school involves all the four elements in its entirety.
Earth element is imparted by Reiki. This healing energy is experienced as hot and cold (just like the surface of the planet), and is grounding energy for all the other healing.
Air is included in the form of Angelic light, that is the two fold energy of air & spirit. Every Mental healing, Enhancement of the power of the third eye and spoken word is characterized by the air element.
Fire (Sakara) energy is clearly characterized as pulses of low voltage electricity. The healers may experience the sensation of pins & needles-like energy in the palms of the hands and in the fingertips. Effervescence is the trademark of this healing energy. Without these sensations, it is not Seichem nor an existence of Sakara. Sakara works to repair the aura as well as the physical body.
Water (Sophi-El) healing is distinguished by waves of cool energy. Water rules emotions and feelings. Therefore, deep emotional issues are healed by this energy.
History and versions of Seichem:
The original lineage began from Usui to Hayashi to Takata to Dr. Barbara Ray to Patrick Ziegler. Hence it was Patrick Ziegler who added additional symbols and changed the name from Reiki to Seichem. Although some claims remain that Seichim has its origins in Egypt. Perhaps after adding to the original system it could be said that some of the information contained within Seichim came from Egypt, the original roots of this system were in Japan with Dr. Usui. There exist four distinct versions of Seichem Reiki.
The first one is very close to the Traditional Usui Reiki. It is enhanced with the addition of facets (or levels or degrees) 4 and 5.
First Degree is taught like traditional Usui Reiki with 4 attunements.
Second Degree has 2 attunements; teaches 3 traditional symbols and several variations on the power symbol, distance healing and mental/emotional balancing.
Master Degree has 1 attunement; 1 symbol, teaches how to attune to 3 levels.
Fourth Degree involves 1 attunement; additional symbols, attunements for animals and inanimate objects.
Fifth Degree is accomplished by 1 attunement; additional symbols, personal empowerment attunement.
Second version of the school has a strong Egyptian feel. The lineage forming this version is Patrick - Phoenix Summerfield - Marsha Burack. There are 2 levels with 11 steps to each, and 4 levels. Each level has initiations and contains references to Sekhmet. The levels are followed from Reiki II onwards.
The First Level is called Seichem Adept, which contain two initiations.
Second Level is called Seichem Master/Teacher that involves 1 initiation, 9 symbols, and techniques of doing the initiations and other information.
The third version, with its lineage as Curtis Hakeem has a Tibetan feel. It has 7 levels with new symbols and understandings at each level.
The first level imparts one initiation and hand positions.
Second Level involves 1 initiation, 3 symbols and distance or absentee healing technique.
Third Level consists of 1 initiation, 13 symbols (7 hot, and 6 cold). The symbols are letters and names of the Tibetan alphabet. A treatment is also taught utilizing all 13 symbols. Moreover, the treatment is not hands-on, rather for about 45 minutes the person stands while the Seichim Practitioner dances the symbols into the aura.
The fourth version is Seichim as taught by Patrick. It attunes the student to Living Light energy, which moves in a figure eight rather than a spiral as in Reiki. The attunement process is done during meditation where the high heart chakra is opened and connected with Earth and Universal energies with a very ethereal feeling similar to Reiki/Radiance. It is said that with Seichem, one can direct and control the intensity of the energy.
The students of this school work with a variety of hands-on-healing techniques including psychic surgery.
